Differential pressure switch GGW A4 Dungs for gas, air, flue, exhaust gases
- These pressure switches GGW A4, A4-U, A4/2, A4-U/2 are designed for automatic burner controls, for usage in furnace, ventilation and air conditioning applications.
- It is suitable for switching a circuit on, off or over on changes in actual pressure value relative to the set reference value. The reference value (switching point) is adjusted on a setting wheel provided with a scale. The test nipple is integrated in metal housings as standard.
- Maximum operating pressure: 500 mbar, setting ranges between 0.4÷300 mbar. Ambient and medium temperature -15÷70oC, storage temperature -30÷80oC.
- Switching voltage: DC 5÷24 V; DC 24÷48 V; AC 24÷250 V. Nominal current: DC 20 mA; (AC 10 A).
- The GGW...A4 version has a degree of protection IP 54 and a clear cover; the GGW...A4/2 version is IP 65 and has a metal housing.
- The installation position can change the switching pressure with up to 0.5 mbar.
- Suitable for employment with gas families 1, 2, 3 and other neutral gaseous media as well as air, smoke and exhaust gases. It does not contain any non-ferrous metals, suitable for gases of up to max. 0.1 vol. % H2S, dry.

Function:
The differential pressure acts on the membrane, pressing it against the force of the adjusting spring and against the microswitch. The pressure switch operates without outside power.
- Differential pressure switch GGW...A4 and GGW...A4/U
The switching apparatus reacts to the difference in pressure between the two pressure chambers [G 1/4 (+) - G 1/8 (-)] and, if the pressure exceeds or drops below the setpoint, activates or
switches an electrical circuit.
If the lower pressure is G 1/8 (-) and excess pressure with respect to the atmosphere exists type GGW A4 must be employed. If lower power with the respect to the atmosphere exists GGW A4-U
must be employed.
- Over-pressure switch GGW...A4, Pressure connection G 1/4 (+):
The switching apparatus reacts to excess pressure and activates or switches if the pressure exceeds or drops below a setpoint. Simply and efficiently acting pressure switch for the excess
pressure range. The pressure connection, G 1/8 (-) must not be closed or blocked.
- Under-pressure switch GGW...A4-U, Pressure connection G 1/8 (-):
The switching apparatus reacts to inadequate pressure and activates or switches if the pressure exceeds or drops below a setpoint. Simply and efficiently acting pressure switch for the
low-pressure range. The pressure connection, G 1/4 (+) must not be closed or blocked.
